Passage Withdrawal Policy
At Passage, we're passionate about opening doors for individuals who might not have access otherwise. We understand the importance of maintaining a trustworthy environment that supports everyone's dreams and ambitions. While we are enthusiastic about the opportunities we provide, we also take the responsibility of safeguarding these opportunities seriously. Our policies are designed not to penalize, but to protect the integrity of our system and mission and ensure that every spot goes to someone who truly needs it. If you're here with the best of intentions, we're excited to have you on board! Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our guidelines.
Warning Against Misuse
It is crucial to understand that there are significant fees that apply to individuals intending to use Passage for purposes other than genuinely attending the agreed program for their chosen intake through Passage. Misusing the services or the student visa pathway is strongly discouraged. We advise you to thoroughly review your definitive agreement to be fully informed on the full details.
IN CASES OF MISUSE YOU WILL BE SUBJECT TO A FEE OF UP TO C$8,000.
Misuse
For example, you may incur significant financial fees if you engage in any of the following actions:
- change your program or school;
- drop out of or de-enrol from the program or school.
Contact Passage at withdrawal@passage.com immediately if you intend to do any of the above, and please refer to the agreements you signed with us for more details.
These fees will be waived under the following conditions:
- If you do not receive a (i) “study permit” or (ii) Canadian “visa approval,” and you provide Passage with written evidence of denial of the “study permit” or Canadian “visa approval” (in form and substance satisfactory to Passage).
- If you are actively pursuing program deferral due to delays in visa processing.
- If the Passage appeal committee approves, See Request for Appeal below.
All requests for the above fee waivers must be complete, in writing and received by Passage at withdrawal@passage.com prior to the [start of your program] or the institution's posted withdrawal date, whichever comes first. We strive to process requests within two (2) weeks of receiving a complete and accurate submission. However, please note that processing times may vary, and in some cases, it may take longer than two weeks to complete your request.
Passage may notify your school, Canadian Border Services Agency and/or Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada if you advise us that you have not received a “study permit”, Canadian “visa approval” or intend to change your program, or de-enrol.
Request for Appeal:
Passage acknowledges that there are genuine reasons, such as serious medical or family emergencies outside of your control, that might necessitate a fee appeal. We are open to considering such appeals upon receiving a written request, and our appeals committee will make the final decision at its sole discretion. Official documentation, such as a doctor’s certificate, will be required to substantiate any claim of this nature. Please contract withdrawal@passage.com for more information.
Additional terms and conditions apply. In the event any terms in this policy conflict with any terms in a definitive agreement, the terms of the definitive agreement shall govern.
